Privacy Policy

Matagorda County CU is committed to protecting our member’s Privacy. It is our policy to hold member information in confidence, subject to applicable legal requirements and standards. We do not sell member information to non-affiliated third parties.

As part the this Credit Union’s commitment to protect the confidentiality of a member’s account information, our employees are informed of their responsibility to protect confidential member information and they are bound by this Privacy Policy. Staff may access a member’s account only when necessary for business reasons.

Matagorda County CU only shares information for legitimate business reasons, with the ultimate goal of bringing the member greater convenience and more choices. We only share member information with affiliates and certain vendors with whom we have a contractual agreement to provide specific products and services such as credit cards, insurance services and account statements. These are frequently requested services that this Credit Union would not otherwise be able to provide. These vendors are prohibited from using member information for any purpose other than that for which they have been contracted.

Documents Available to Members

Upon request, a member is entitled to review or receive a copy of the following documents:

  • Balance sheet and income statement
  • Summary of the most recent annual audit
  • Written Board policy regarding access to the articles of incorporation, by-laws, rules, guidelines, board policies, and copies thereof
  • Internal Revenue Service Form 990
